Rombauer Winery is a family owned California enterprise with a small production of wines each reflecting the care of the winemaker. On March 16, 2012 we will also be treated to a dessert wine that is only available at the winery. Irma Rombauer is the great-aunt of the winery's founder. So many guests have asked for the return of Mac McDonald and his wife, Lil. On Friday, May 18, 2012 they will return to host a winemaker's dinner. If you have not had the opportunity to join us for one of Mac's past visits, put this on your calendar. You won't be disappointed. Mac only makes Pinot Noirs (and the occasional Riesling and Pinot Gris). His wines have been served at the White House and he is the only winemaker outside the Wagner family to use the Caymus Vineyard facilities for his wine production. Here is more information…

Kathy Joseph, wine maker and owner of Fiddlehead Winery, drew 125 people to her wine dinner this past year. So many of you have asked to have her back. She loves her fans in Wooster and will make a special trip to Wooster Saturday, August 4, 2012 just before she settles into harvest. On Friday, September 14, 2012 we will welcome Joe Schuchter, the third generation of the Shuchter winemaking family from Morrow, OHIO. That's right, for the first time in Wooster Inn history we are having a wine dinner with an Ohio winery featuring all Ohio produced wines. Valley Vineyards produces award winning wines in varieties that you know. They also produce some American varietals and hybrids that are unique to our northern latitude. The final Wine Dinner of 2012 will take place on November 2, 2012 and will feature the newest products in the Gallo house of wines. Each year Gallo expands its portfolio as it acquires independent wineries and fine winemakers. This dinner will feature some of these wines. Once upon a time... there was a hotel at the corner of Market and South Streets. It had more than 30 rooms and two bathrooms, but it was a hotel. In 2011, Wooster will witness the NEW St. Paul Hotel of Wooster which will have 12 rooms. Six of the rooms will be luxury suites. All rooms will feature the finest of amenities: bathrooms with heated tile floors, rain forest showers, heated towel bars, luxury linens, original artwork, and concierge service for any need. All of this right in the heart of the newly revitalized entertainment district of Wooster, Ohio. Guests will experience some of the best of Wooster dining and unique shopping all in the heat of downtown.
This hotel will share its General Manager with the Inn, operating cooperatively with the Inn and many other Wooster businesses.
